johnQ Trading ("we", "us", "our") operates the website johnqtrading.com. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our website.
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. We may also collect usage data (pages visited, time on site) via analytics tools.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is shared with MailerLite, our email service provider, for the purpose of sending you newsletter content, product updates, and related communications. MailerLite stores subscriber data on their servers under their own privacy policy. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email we send, or by emailing info@johnQtrading.com to request deletion of your subscriber data. When you submit our contact form, your submission is processed by Web3Forms, our form-handling service, which forwards the message to our inbox. See Web3Forms' Privacy Policy for details on how they handle submitted data.
When you purchase a johnQ Trading indicator, we send a confirmation email containing your download link to the email address you provide at checkout. The email is delivered via Resend, our transactional email provider. Resend processes your email address solely to deliver this message and operates under their own privacy policy.
We also maintain an internal record of each download link we issue, containing: the email address it was sent to, the product purchased, the Stripe checkout session identifier, the link's expiration and remaining-use counters, and (for each download) the IP address and timestamp of the access. We use these records to detect abuse and to provide customer support — for example, issuing a fresh link if you lose yours or change computers. Records are retained for one (1) year after the link expires, then deleted. To request earlier deletion of your download records, email info@johnQtrading.com with the email address used at checkout.
Several of our NinjaTrader indicators and add-ons (for example Q_Trade_Copier and Q_ClickBracketTrader) display a one-time disclaimer dialog on first launch. When you click Agree in that dialog, the software sends a single record to a server we operate at johnqtrading.com/api/disclaimer-ack for audit and liability purposes. The record contains: the product name and version, the date and time you accepted, a one-way hashed (SHA-256) installation identifier derived from a stable per-installation identifier provided by Windows together with your computer name and Windows user name (not your raw hardware identifiers, and not reversible into them), your Windows user name and computer name, the relevant account or chart context the product was using at the time, and whether you selected “Don’t show again”. We do not collect or transmit any trade data, account balances, order activity, or market data through this channel. The purpose of this log is to maintain a verifiable record that you saw and agreed to the product’s disclaimer; without it we have no way to demonstrate that consent was given. Records are retained indefinitely for legal and audit purposes. To request deletion of your records, email info@johnQtrading.com with the installation identifier displayed by the product’s About / Diagnostics screen.
