What trading platform do your indicators run on?
All johnQ Trading indicators are built for
NinjaTrader 8. NinjaTrader is a free platform for advanced charting, market analytics, and automated trading. You can download it at
ninjatrader.com.
Do I need a brokerage account to use your indicators?
No. You can use NinjaTrader with a free simulation account to test and use our indicators with simulated data. A funded brokerage account is only required for live trading.
How do I install an indicator after purchasing?
After purchasing, you will receive an .zip or .zip file. In NinjaTrader 8, go to Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On and select the file. The indicator will then be available in your indicator list.
Are the indicators compatible with NinjaTrader 7?
Our indicators are developed for NinjaTrader 8 only. NinjaTrader 7 is no longer officially supported by NinjaTrader and we do not provide NT7 versions.

What instruments can I use the indicators on?
Our indicators work on any instrument supported by NinjaTrader, including futures (ES, NQ, CL, GC), forex pairs, stocks, and more. Some indicators (such as Q-BarNetDelta) require instruments with volume/tick data.
